Rabotat Recuts Presents: ‘Vampyr’ (1932), complimentary of label co-founder Ironfist, is a love letter to the classic German film with numerous movements of techno and house music.
We are very excited this 2020 to debut our ongoing series Rabotat Records Presents – where the love of public domain cinema meets fresh, new musical backdrops. Whether indie electronica, experimental or americana, these videos are created to honor the creators we love and respect; from film, music + everything in between. We direct all credit and respect to the original creators of all media featured in the recuts; for further detailing of the DJ mix tracklist and credits, please visit the video on Youtube here.
The kick off of the series comes via Ironfist with his recut of the 1932 German film, ‘Vampyr’. This film recut originally premiered at our Label Launch Party back in 2018 and is an unique melding of expressionism, horror and techno. Sit back and turn the lights low – welcome to Rabotat Recuts Presents: ‘Vampyr’.
